Norwegian Navigation

Thursday we checked out of our Oslo hotel and drove to Molde. It's over a 7 hour drive, but our legs were thankful for the rest after two days exploring Oslo on foot.

When we arrived in Oslo we had some difficulty finding our way to the hotel, making several wrong turns that took us out of our way before we could correctly reroute. Getting out of Oslo was just as bad. I made a few wrong turns that were difficult to recover from. The worst was a series of errors that took me through the kilometer long Opera Tunnel 3 times, once eastbound, once westbound, and finally eastbound again.

Once we got settled on the right road, the drive to Molde was long but mostly enjoyable. We drove along lakes and rivers, over mountain passes and through valleys, through tunnels, and even ferried across a fjord. We saw thousand foot waterfalls cascading down mountainsides, and stopped briefly at the Troll Wall.  We got into Molde before dark and had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant.
